I hesitated before purchasing this but it has absolutely been worth it: thoughtful design, delightfully clicky keys, the clever inclusion of a carriage return (mapped to enter/return on macOS and probably elsewhere), ease of use, the way it holds an iPad or tablet or phone securely... I learned touch typing on a manual typewriter and I still love my manual typewriters, but the Qwerkywriter makes computer/device typing a joyous luxury, and I love that too!

Installation was simple. More, due delays beyond Qwerky’s control, their customer service was excellent in keeping me informed and updated. I love the product and the business.

Have both my devices Bluetooth’d. Had to redo each, but am still learning and don’t use everyday. I love the typewriter feel again to write posts and stories. Keep up the good work.

There’s everything I love about this keyboard but the way it feels the way it sounds the way it operates the fact that it is a computer and I can switch between my laptop and my phone and my iPad if I need to. And I absolutely love the number pad I bought for both ! again it is functional it is beautiful it is steampunk, it is marvelous

So I NEVER review products I buy. This is a first, because it's that good. I've just completed a 130k novel using my Qwerkywriter and it's delivered in ways I needed, and in ways I didn't know I needed.

It's a brick - I can stab those keys in the most satisfying way. The keys are large, easy to find, and always in reach. Ergonomically it's perfect.

It's secret weapons are the typewriter arm and the rotating knobs which I use ALL the time. I've set up the arm to trigger my left side panel in my Obsidian App - my go to writing app of choice. And the scrolling knob makes surfing through pages of text easy, precise and has saved my mouse wheel finger from dying on me.

Yes, it was the most expensive keyboard I've ever bought - with shipping added. But it was worth every cent. And it's got many more novels in it. Thank you Qwerkywriter team.

One thing is the charge doesnt last very long = on the keyboard or number key - but as long as I charge them each night I love working with them!!

Keyboard is gorgeous and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it!

When I purchased the BLACK CHROME QWERKYWRITER, I expected a beautifully designed, retro-keyboard, and it absolutely delivers on that. The nostalgic circular black keys accented with chrome, the satisfying clack of the mechanical switches, the bold red TAB and DEL keys, and of course the metal body, combine into something truly special. Honestly, striking.
The programmable return lever and side-knobs are personally my favorite features. They are also surprisingly functional (I set mine for page-breaks). It’s a product that feels crafted by someone who cares about that nostalgic experience.

But for me, this keyboard is much more than its aesthetics or build quality.
I bought it because I needed something to make typing on my big sister’s iPad more comfortable. She passed away on May 14th of this year to breast cancer. She was my best friend, my entire world. We were writing a novel together, and continuing that story has become one of the ways I cope and stay close to her. Her iPad holds many of her notes and ideas, and it means a lot to me to keep writing on it.

I am all-thumbs when it comes to touch screen devices but this keyboard has made it manageable. It’s not just a tool, it’s a bridge between me and my sister’s world. Each time I use it, it feels like I’m writing alongside her again. That’s something I can’t put a price on, and I’ll always be grateful for it.

I expect you can find similar style keyboards for less money but they'd also be less valuable. This thing is stunning and just so much fun. The lever for enter, the sounds of the keys, even the way it looks is inviting to use. Five stars and great job to the people making it!
